In this edition, Lectric Love spotlights the Zero SR/S, the fully faired pinnacle of the Zero Motorcycles street bikes.
Zero notes that it “draws inspiration from cutting-edge aerospace design – a fact that’s evident in its aerodynamic fairing and stunning profile. Form follows function in all Zero Motorcycles.”
Consequently, this design delivers an improved highway efficiency and range by 13% compared to their award-winning SR/F. We’ve ridden the SR/S and its upright and relaxed riding position offers excellent comfort, with minimal wrist fatique while striking style. The Cypher III+ Operating System, works well, designed to have every available Cypher Feature included standard and waiting at your fingertips.
We’ve highway ridden the SR/S in warm (30 deg Celsius) and cooler temperatures (9 degrees Celsius) and no surprise, we recorded substantial range drops in the cooler temps. Thankfully the premium version we tested came with a rapid charger making recharging much more tolerable (see below for times).
